  • Notes
    • Herbert Marshall Farr came to Hespeler from Vermont. He was a partner with his cousins George and Shubal Randall in the Hespeler Woollen mill that later was known as R. Forbes Co. and Dominion Woollens. The partners were railway contractors in the early 1860's build buildings for the Grand Trunk and Great Western Railways. The woollen mill was built in 1864 and continued for 10 years. They moved their operation to Holyoke Masssachusetts.1a
