    • ALEXANDER, SAMUEL GIBSON At Freeport Hospital, on Friday evening, March 29, 1974, of 80 Cooper St. in Hespeler (Cambridge), in his 91st year. Husband of Sarah MacKenzie. Father of James, Roderick and John M. , all of Hespeler; Hugh of Barrie; Sarah (Mrs. Reg Winfield) of Meaford; Mrs. Madge Orton of Preston; and Mrs. Margaret Renton of Owen Sound. One son, Ward predeceased him in the Second World War. Also survived by twenty-five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. A resident of the Hespeler area for forty-seven years, Mr. Alexander was born in Stranraer, Scotland. He came to Canada in 1927 and farmed in Puslinch Township for seven years, before moving to Hespeler. He was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. He was also an avid lawn bowler and belonged to the Preston Lawn Bowling Club. Service at the Nelson Funeral Home, 23 Galt St. in Hespeler (Cambridge) on Mon. , Apr. 1 at 2. Interment New Hope Cemetery, Hespeler.
