    • Charles Appel - New Hamburg - Charles Appel, age 81, of New Hamburg, died at the home of his daughter on April 19. Deceased, an undertaker, had to retire 17 years ago after suffering a stroke. He was in fair health until five weeks ago when he suffered a fall which hastened his death. Mr. Appel was born in Wilmot Centre. He was married to Catherine Sararas 56 years ago and took up residence at Mannheim, later moving to New Hamburg. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

      Surviving are his widow, two sons, Eldon and Melvin of Kitchener, one daughter, Mrs. R.M. Hagey, two brothers, John of Walkerton and George of New Hamburg, three sisters, Mrs. H. Feick of Kitchener, Mrs. Lena Sararas of Wilmot Centre and Mrs. J. bowman of New Hamburg.1a
