    • Prominent Waterloo Man Dies Following Illness

      Norman H. Letter, 64 a retired Waterloo funeral director and furniture dealer, died Saturday at the K-W Hospital following an illness of several months. He resided at 116 King St. North, Waterloo. Mr. Letter was in business here for 35 years, retiring in 1943. He was a director of the Globe Furniture Co., Ltd. A member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Brotherhood of the church, Mr. Letter was also a member of Germania Lodge, I.O.O.F. Born on March 23, 1887, in Waterloo, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Letter. Surviving are his wife, the former Lydia Veitel; one son, Howard, Waterloo; a daughter, Mrs. Bernice Blankenberg, Waterloo, a sister, Mrs. R. B. Geelhaar, Listowel; and two grandchildren. Funeral service was held Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo, with Rev. A. L. Conrad officiating. Burial was in Waterloo Mt. Hope cemetery.1a
