  • Notes 
    • The death of Mrs. Lillie Herman, widow of the late John Herman, of North Easthope, occurred Monday night at the age of 72 years. She had been in failing health for the past month, after having suffered a stroke.
      The Late Mrs. Herman was born on July 31, 1886, in Wellesley Township, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adam Berlett, and following her marriage in 1910 she and her husband resided on his farm in North Easthope. Mr. Herman predeceased her in 1944, and in 1946 she moved to Milverton to make her home with her son. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Milverton, and a member of the Ladies Aid and sewing circle of the church.
      Surviving are four sons, Dr. Lloyd Herman of Washington, D.C., Nyal and Cecil of RR 3, New Hamburg, and Harold of Milverton; two daughters, Mrs Elmer (Sophia) Roeder of RR 1, Gadshill, and Miss Marjorie of Milverton; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
      The funeral was held Thursday afternoon with service at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Milverton, followed by interment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Sebastopol. Rev. Luther Eberhardt officiated.
