    • Clara Jane Ashton formerly of 62 Stanley St. in Cambridge (Galt), at Hilltop Manor, on Wednesday, May 10, 1978, in her 82nd year. Mrs. Ashton was an active member of Central Presbyterian Church in Cambridge and a former member of the first Galt Scout Mothers Association. Predeceased by her husband, George Ashton (1965). Survived by a daughter, Audrey (Mrs. Tom Mercer) of Cambridge; two sons, John of Cambridge; Harold of Medley, AB; a brother, Robert Elvin of Alberta; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. Service at the Coutts and Son Funeral Home on Saturday at 2: 30. Interment Mount View Cemetery.
