    • THE HAMBURG FELT BOOT CO.

Waterloo County has admittedly beceme a great felt centre within recent years. The industry is a staple and permanent one and therefore a highly desirable one in any community. The Hamburg Felt Boot Co. was established a decade ago and is a credit to the men who founded it and have so steadily pushed it forward. The chief credit in this connection undoubtedly belongs to the present manager, Mr. E. Merner, who is also president of the company. With untiring persistence, this gentleman has driven his factory to the front until today it occupies a fine premises 280 x 40 feet and two stories high. A full staff of 70 people arc kept busy and though many lines of business arc slack, the Hamburg Felt Boot Co. say business is very fair, something that could not be said if their product were not at all times up to the standard. They make a general line of felt boots and shoes and manufacture all their own felt. A ready market is found all the way from the Atlantic to the Pacific. The other officers of the company are:\emdash Vice President\emdash D. Becker. Secy.-Treas. \emdash W. H. Weber.1a
