    MORDECZKO, Jozet (Joe)

    Of Hamilton Street, Cambridge, on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of the late Helen Kwiecien (1977). Lovingly remembered by his son, John and his wife Claudette and their daughter, Helene; his daughters, Donna Ray and her daughter, Amanda, all of Cambridge and Jo-Ann Mordeczko and her family of Waterloo. Survived by his sister-in-law, Winnie Noll and her husband Ron of Elmira; his brother-in-law, Felix Kwiecien and his wife Ann of Mississauga and brothers and sisters in Poland. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents and two brothers in Poland. Mr. Mordeczko was born in Poland and emmigrated to Canada in 1945. He had been a longtime resident of Cambridge. He was retired for the past 17 years from Eastern Steel, Frink Canada, a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Polish Army, a member of St. Clement's RC Church, the Royal Canadian Legion Polish Branch 412, Kitchener, the Polish Club of Cambridge and a former active member of the Polish Legion Colour Party. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge on Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, at St. Clement's RC Church, 745 Duke St., Cambridge, at 10 a.m. Interment in Park Lawn Cemetery, Cambridge.

    Of 1347 Hamilton St., Cambridge (Preston), at South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Tuesday, August 23, 1977, Helen Kwiecien, beloved wife of Joseph Mordeczko; dear mother of John of Cambridge, Jo Ann (Mrs. Jim Scott) and Donna of Cambridge, in her 52nd year. Mrs. Mordeczko was born in Poland and had been a resident of Cambridge (Preston), for 47 years. Also survived by one brother, Felix of Mississauga and one sister, Winnie (Mrs. Ron Noll) of Elmira; also three grandchildren. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge (Preston), until Thursday morning; then to St. Clements Church for funeral mass, at 10 a.m. Interment in Park Lawn cemetery.

    Frank Kwiecien

    PRESTON '97 Frank Kwiecien, 200 Dover St. N., died Wednesday at K-W HospitaL He was 69. Mr. Kwiecien was born in Poland and came to Preston in 1929. He was a moulder at Shantz Foundry, Ltd. He was a member of St. Clement's RC Church and of the Holy Name Society. He was predeceased by his first wife the former Josephine Musial in 1958. Surviving are his wife, the former Katherine Mydlarska; one son, Felix of Toronto and two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Helen) Mordeczko of Preston and Mrs. Ronald (Winnifred) Noll of Elmira and ten grandchildren. The body will be at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home until Saturday at 9: 45 a.m., when removal will be made to St. Clement's RC Church for requiem mass at 10: 15. Interment will be in St. Clement's RC cemetery. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home Friday at 7 p.m.

    Mrs. Frank Kwiecien

    PRESTON—Mrs. Frank Kwiecien, 60, of 200 Dover St. North, died Sunday at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Galt, after an illness of three months. Mrs. Kwiecien was the former Josephine Musial and was born in Poland. She came to Preston in 1930 with her two children to join her husband. She was a member of St. Clement's RC Church, the Altar Society and the Catholic Women's League. Surviving is her husband, Frank; one son, Felix, of Toronto; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph. (Helen) Mordeczko, Preston; Mrs. Ronald (Winnifred) Noll, Elmira: two brothers. Michael and Walter, both of Poland. Two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Helen) Loik, Toronto and Winnifrid, in Poland: and six grandchildren. The body is at the Maurice J. O'Brien Funeral Home until 8: 30 a.m., Wednesday. Requiem mass will be solemnized at 9 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Clement's RC Church. Burial will be at St. Clement’s Cemetery. The Catholic Women's League and Members of the Altar Society are requested to meet on Tuesday at 3 p.m. for the recitation of the rosary.
