    EZRA BOSHART Ezra Boshart, 72, of Pacific Ave., Milverton, died on Friday, Nov. 1, in Listowel Memorial Hospital.

    Born in Ellice Township, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Boshart. He was a machinist in Milverton most of his life. He was a member of the Poole Mennonite Church.

    Surviving are his wife, the former Magdelena Albrecht; one son, Ralph of R.R. 2, Wellesley; three daughters, Mrs. Ivan (Mildred) Ropp of R.R. 1, Wellesley; Mrs. Wesley (Marjorie) Steckley of Milverton; Mrs. Merlin (Norma) Lichty of R.R. 2, Wellesley; one brother, Emmanuel of Wellesley; one sister, Mrs. Menno (Salome) Erb of Wellesley.

    The body rested at the Futher Brothers funeral home, Wellesley, until Monday at 1 p.m. when removal was made to Poole Mennonite Church for service at 3 p.m. Pallbearers were Paul Boshart of Stratford, Peter Boshart of St. Thomas, Albert Erb of Wellesley, Dan Albrecht of New Hamburg, Delmar Erb of Millbank, John Albrecht of Kingwood. Burial was in the church cemetery.

    Boshart, Ezra, son of the late Peter and Nancy (Schultz) Boshart, was born in Perth Co., Ont., Sept. 21, 1896; died in his car at Listowel, Ont., following a doctor's appointment, Nov. 1, 1968; aged 72 y. 1 m. 10 d. On Feb. 6, 1921, he was married to Magdalena Albrecht, who survives. Also surviving are one son (Ralph), 3 daughters (Mildred - Mrs. Ivan Ropp, Marjorie - Mrs. Wesley Steckly, and Norma - Mrs. Merlin Lichti), 14 grandchildren, one brother (Emmanuel), and one sister (Salome - Mrs. Menno Erb). He was a member of the Poole Church, where funeral services were held Nov. 4, with Herbert Schultz officiating.

    EZRA BOSHART

    Ezra Boshart of Milverton, father of Ralph of RR 2. Wellesley; Mrs. Ivan (Mildred) Ropp of RR l, Wellesley and Mrs. Merlin (Norma) Lichty of RR 2, Wellesley died last Friday in Listowel at the age of 72.

    Born in Ellice Township, Mr. Boshart was a member of Poole Mennonite Church.

    Surviving, besides his son and daughters mentioned are his wife, the former Magdalena Albrecht; one sister. Mrs. Mennon (Salome) Erb of Wellesley, a daughter, Mrs. Wesley (Margery) Steckley of Milverton and 14 grandchildren.

    Services were held at the Poole Mennonite Church, with Rev. Harold Schultz officiating.

    Burial was in the church cemetery.

    Futher Funeral Home, Wellesley, was in charge of arrangements.

    BOSHART, Mrs. Ezra (Mattie) 1993 Peacefully, on Saturday, Sept. 18, 1993, at Nithview Home, New Hamburg, Magdalena Boshart, formerly of Wellesley and Milverton.

    Mattie was born in Shakespeare 93 years ago, a daughter of the late John Albrecht and the late Elizabeth Erb.

    Mrs. Boshart was a faithful member of the Poole Mennonite Church, where she was active in the WMSC. Loving mother of Mildred and her husband Ivan Ropp of Wellesley, Marjorie and her husband Wesley Steckly of Milverton, Norma and her husband Merlin Lichty of Wellesley; daughter-in-law of Ionabell Boshart of Wellesley; sister-in-law of Florence (Mrs. Sam Boshart) of Milverton and Mary (Mrs. Menno Albrecht) of Wellesley.

    Lovingly remembered by 14 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

    Predeceased by her husband, Ezra, November 1, 1968; by one son, Ralph, 1983; one granddaughter, Carol Steckly, 1984; one great granddaughter, Ginger, 1982; five brothers and five sisters.

    Visitation at the Futher Bros. funeral Home, 40 Henry St., Wellesley today (Monday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1993 removal will be made to the Poole Mennonite Church for the service at 2: 30 p.m. Pastor David Rogalsky and Rev. Gerald Schwartzentruber will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

    Magdalena "Mattie" Boshart died on Saturday, Sept 18, 1993. She was born in Shakespeare 93 years ago, a daughter of the late John Albrecht and the late Elizabeth Erb. She was a faithful member of the Poole Mennonite Church. She is survived by her children Mildred, Marjorie, and Norma. She was predeceased by her husband Ezra, November 1, 1968, one son, Ralph, in 1983, five brothers and five sisters. Burial will be in the Poole Mennonite Church cemetery.

    Boshart. - Peter Boshart was born in Waterloo Co., Ont., May 14, 1870; died Sept. 7, 1942, at the Stratford, Ont., General Hospital after a sickness of a few weeks' duration from dia-betes and complications; aged 72 y. 3 m. 23 d. He accepted Christ as his Saviour in his youth and was a faithful member of the Amish Mennonite Church until death. He was ordained to the ministry Nov. 8, 1903. He was united in marriage with Sister Nancy Schultz Oct. 4, 1892. Sister Boshart predeceased him on April 26, 1936. They shared life together for 43 years and 6 months. To this union were born 3 sons and 1 daughter; 11 grandchildren, a great-grandchild, 1 brother, 1 sister survive. Two brothers and 4 sisters predeceased him. The funeral was largely attended by neighbors, friends and relatives. Services at the Poole A. M. Church, conducted by Bros. Peter Nafziger of St. Agatha, Moses 0. Jantzi of Baden, Ont., and Christian Martin of Lancaster, Pa. Burial in the adjoining cemetery.

    Rev. Peter Boshart - A well-known and highly esteemed resident of Topping. Rev. Peter Boshart passed away in the Stratford General Hospital at 6: 30 on Monday morning, Sept. 7th at the age of 72 years, 3 months and 23 days. Mr. Boshart had been ailing all summer but was not confined to his room until the first of August. Since that time he gradually became worse and on August 30th he was removed to the hospital where he underwent an operation for an abscess on his thigh on Saturday. He was also suffering from diabetes. The youngest of the family of the late Peter and Magdalena (Berge) Boshart, he was born on the boundary between Wellesley and Wilmot on May 14th, 1870. He spent his boyhood and young manhood in that locality and on October 4th, 1892 he was married to Annie (Nancy) Schultz, daughter of the late Menno and Elizabeth (Litweiller) Schultz. Immediately following their marriage they took up residence at Topping where he resided to the time of his death with the exception of five years which were spent in Baden. They went to Baden eleven years ago with the intention of retiring there but when Mrs. Boshart became seriously ill they returned to the farm. Mrs. Boshart passed away in April 1936. Mr. Boshart in addition to operating the farm was minister of the Poole (north) Mennonite Church and also the Steinman Mennonite Church. He also operated a threshing machine for over twenty years and became widely known throughout the district. He is survived by three sons and one daughter Emanuel of Cargill, Ezra on the homestead at Topping; Samuel of Milverton; Mrs. M. O. Erb (Salome) of Wellesley; eleven grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Mose Schlabach (Barbara) of New Hamburg; one brother Mr. Daniel Boshart of St. Agatha. The following brothers and sisters predeceased him: (Kate) Mrs. John Schultz, (Mary) Mrs. Peter Roth, Jacob, Jonas and Elizabeth who died in infancy. The funeral will be held Thursday with service at his late residence commencing at 1: 30 followed by a service in the Poole Mennonite Church (north) commencing at 2: 30. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery.

    Boshart.-Nancy, daughter of the late Menno and Elisabeth (Litwiller) Schultz, was born on April 26, 1867, in Perth Co., Ont.; died April 26, 1936; aged 69 years. After a lingering illness for over four years off and on of cancer, about a year and a half ago she was operated on which at first seemed to be a success but the dreadful malady developed again. Three weeks previous to her death she had inflammation of the veins and a paralytic stroke, all caused by the disease. She fell peacefully asleep in Jesus and went to her long desired home early in the morning of her birthday. She was married to Pre. Peter Boshart, Oct. 4, 1892. To this union were born 3 sons and 1 daughter. She leaves to mourn her departure, her sorrowing husband, her children (Emanuel, Ezra, Salome (Mrs. Menno O. Erb), and Samuel, all of this community) and 9 grandchildren. She was the first to break the family circle. She also leaves 4 brothers, 1 sister, many friends and relatives. After marriage they moved on the farm where they lived until 9 years ago when he retired from farming and lived at Baden 5 years till sickness made it necessary to move back to the farm to live with their son Ezra till the time of departure. Funeral was held April 29. Services at the home were conducted by Christian R. Brunk and at the Poole Amish Mennonite Church by Daniel S. Jutzi, Oscar Burkholder, and Christian Gascho. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
