    Thomas Wenzel

    The death occurred at his home her on Wednesday forenoon, of Mr. Thomas Wenzel, in his 76th year. He had bee in poor health for several months. The deceased was born on Dec. 21, 1872, in Tavistock, a son of the late Henry Wenzel and Anna Grein. He resided for some years in Listowel and came to New Hamburg from Waterloo when the Schierholtz Furniture Company was started here in 1907, being one of the original directors of the company. For 16 years Mr and Mrs. Wenzel resided in Haysville, and returned to New Hamburg several years ago. Mr. Wenzel was one of the Christian Science faith. He was married to the former Rose Walmsley, who survives, besides one daughter, Mrs. John B. (Kathleen) Garland of Haysville, and a grand-daughter. Also surviving is one brother, Nicholas Wenzel, in California. The funeral will be held this Friday afternoon with a private service at the Futher-Omand Funeral Home, followedd by internment in Riverside Cemetery.

    Thomas Wenzel

    New Hamburg, Nov. 25 - Following an illness of six years, Thomas Wenzel, 75, died suddenly at his home on Jacob St. Yesterday. He was born in Tavistock Dec. 21, 1872, a son of the late Henry Wenzel and Anna Grein. As a young man, Mr. Wenzel learned the furniture trade and for a number of years was associated with the New Hamburg Furniture Co., as part owner. Upon his retirement he moved to Haysville, later returning to this town. He was a member of the Christian Science Church. Surviving are his widow, the former Rose Walmsley; a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Kathleen) Garland, R.R. 1, New Hamburg, and one grandchild. The funeral, which is private, will be held Friday at the Futher-Omand Funeral Home at 2: 30 with interrnment at Riverside Cemetery. The body is resting at the funeral home.

    Mrs. Thomas Wenzel

    Following an illness of only a few days, Mrs. Rose Wenzel passed away at the K-W Hospital on Sunday. She was the widow of the late Thomas Wenzel who died here three months ago. Born in Hespeler on June 6, 1874, [birth record says b. Hespeler 13 Jun 1874] she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Walmsley. Mrs. Wenzel came to New Hamburg from Waterloo 40 years ago and for ten years lived at Haysville, returning to New Hamburg five years ago. She was of the Christian Science faith. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. John (Kathleen) Garland, Haysville and one daughter. The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon with service at the Futher-Omand Funeral Home at 2.30 o'clock, followed by internment in Riverside Cemetery.
