    MRS. MAGDALENA KISSNER

    Mrs. Magdalena Kissner, 78 died at the home of her son, Charles Kissner, 30 Spetz Street, early this morning. Death followed an illness of eight weeks. Born in Waterloo Township, Dec. 25, 1863, she was a daughter of the Late Mr. and Mrs. Wilhelm Krueger. She is the last surviving member of the family. Her husband predeceased her Oct 19, 1937. Mrs. Kissner was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and took an active part in the Ladies' Aid of the church. Surviving are four sons; Henry, Herman, Fred and Charles, all of Kitchener: three daughters, Mrs. Sadie Crowther, Kitchener, Mrs. George Ringle, Diebolt, Alta., Mrs. Edmund Otterbein, Strasburg. The funeral will be held from the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, Saturday at 2 p.m. and at St. Paul's Lutheran church at 2.15 p.m. Rev.Albert Orten will officiate. Interment will he in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The remains are resting at the funeral home.

    Golden Wedding Quietly Celebrated Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kissner, Kitchener, Mark 50th Wedding Anniversary.

    The golden wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kissner of Kitchener, was quietly marked at their home on Friday Numerous congratulations poured in on the happy couple. Although Mr. Kissner 70 years of age and his wife 71. both still enjoy the best of healh.

    A native of West Prussia, Mr. Kissner emigrated to Canada in 1884 and a year later. he married Mrs. Magdalena Bauer Krueger, who was born. on the Petersburg road. Rev. Anders, pastor of the St. Paul's Lutheran vicinity of Mannheim for several Church officiated. After living in the years, they returned to Kitchener where they have lived ever since. Their family included eight children, three of whom are deceased and 13 grandchildren. Their five remaining children are Messrs. Herman, Fred and Charles of Kitchener, and Mrs. Edwin Otterbein of Strassburg and Mrs. George Ringle of Alberta. The deceased members were Miss Lena and Mr. Willie Kissner and a baby who died in infancy. Mr. Henry Bauer and Mrs. S. Crowther of Kitchener are the children of Mrs. Kissner's first marriage.
