    Sudden Death - Roy M. Gibson Found Dead In Stable - Death came suddenly to Roy M. Gibson, 26 year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. John Gibson, Concession 6, Blenheim, on Friday night when he was found dead in the stable. He had gone out, after supper as usual, to attend to some chores and when he failed to return to the house, a search was made and his body was found with life extinct. Heart failure is given as the cause of his sudden passing. Deceased was a young man of sterling character, and his untimely demise will be mourned by a host of young friends with whom he was deservedly popular. He was a regular attendant of Willis Church, Drumbo, and was associated with a number of the young people's organizations of the community in which he lived. Besides his mother and father, he is survived by the following brothers and sisters: William S., Richwood; Charles John, 7th Concession, Blenheim; Fred, at home; Oliver, Cayuga; Stanley, Toronto; Norman, Richwood; Mrs. Bock, Woodstock, and Mrs. French, Wolverton. Two brothers, James Alexander and George M., were killed at Ypres in 1916, while serving with the Canadian forces overseas. The funeral took place to Ayr Cemetery on Monday afternoon, and was largely attended.

    Death of John Gibson

    Well-Known Resident of Drumbo District Was Buried Here

    The funeral took place to the Ayr Cemetery on Saturday afternoon of the late John Mitchell Gibson of Drumbo, whose death occurred on Thursday, in his 78th year. The services were in charge of Rev. John Richardson, Pastor of Willis United church, Drumbo, and the pallbearers were six sons of the deceased, viz., William and Charles, Wolverton; Fred and Oliver, Drumbo; Stanley, Clarksburg, and Norman, Alvinston. The late Mr. Gibson was born at Peter Head, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and had resided in the Drumbo district for a period of almost half a century, where he was well and favorably known. Besides his widow, whose maiden name was May Stewart Milne, and the six sons mentioned above, he is survived by two brothers in Scotland and one sister, Mrs. Alex. Mackie, Drumbo. Two sons, George, and James, lost their lives in the great war, and one son, Roy, died seven years ago.

    Mrs. John Gibson - The death occurred on Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. May Buck, Woodstock, of May Milne, 6th concession of Blenheim, widow of the late John Gibson, in her 84th year. Mrs. Gibson was born in Scotland and, since coming to Canada, had resided in the Drumbo district, She is survived by six sons and two daughters, as follows ; Charles, Frederick and Oliver, near Drumbo; Stanley, Thornbury; Norman, overseas; Mrs. May Buck and Mrs. John French, Woodstock. Three sons predeceased her, James and George, who were killed overseas in 1916, and Roy. The funeral will take place this (Thursday) afternoon to the Ayr Cemetery.
