    Passed away at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Monday, August 30, 1999, after a courageous battle. Alberta W. Julke in her 97th year. Beloved Aunt of Frank Julke; Toronto. Great Aunt of Kim Whitham and her husband Craig and Chadwick Julke (and their mother Jackie Dunbar) all of Kitchener. Great-great aunt of Rachael Whitham. Predeceased by all her brothers and sisters. Alberta was a long and faithful member of St. Peters Lutheran Church; Cambridge. Friends will be received at the BARTHEL FUNERAL HOME, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, on Thursday, September 2, 1999, from Noon (12 p.m.), until service time, at 2 p.m., when Pastor Neil Thomsen will conduct the complete funeral service. Interment following, in Preston Cemetery.

    Theodore Julke

    Local citizens where shocked by the sudden passing of Theodore Ernest Julke, at his home on Margaret street, at five o'clock yesterday afternoon. The deceased who was in his 60th year, was born in Germany and on came to Canada, 30 years ago and settled in Beamsville. Later he moved to Preston, where he spent the best part of his years in this country. He was employed by the Grand River Railway and for the greater part, to the capacity of motorman. Mr. Julke, was a devout member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and fraternally he was associated with the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and the IOOF. Besides his widow, Mamie Gies, he is survived by one daughter, Alberta, at home, three sons, Arnold, of Preston, Martin, at home and Paul, Dundee Illinois, two brothers, Ernest and Albert, of Beamsville. The funeral will be held from the late residence, 342 Margaret street on Wednesday afternoon. Servivces will be held in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, with Rev. W. H. Knauff officiating at 2.30 o'clock. Interment will be made in the Preston Cemetery.
