BRAGA, Maria Reis (nee Luis)

Maria peacefully, passed away after a battle with cancer on Saturday, March 2, 2013, in her 53rd year. She is survived by her husband, Manuel Braga, her two children Linda and her partner Kevin Rodrigues and David Braga and her two grandchildren, Victoria and Devin Rodrigues. Special sister of Tony (Virginia), Lucy (Manuel), Mike (Nicole), and in-laws, Maria (Jose), of Portugal, Jose (Connie), Helen Luis, Beatriz (Jose) and Tony (Maria) of Portugal. Maria will also be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Joao and Ermelinda Luis, father and mother-in-law, Manuel and Ana Braga and two brothers-in-law, Jose Andrade and Tony Luis. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Chalmers St. S. (at South St.), Cambridge, on Wednesday March 6, 2013 at 9: 30 a.m. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery. Maria and her family would like to express a special thank you to everyone at Medical Daycare at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, and the homecare nurses, especially, Pat Bolender and Joanne Resendes.
