    Mrs. Norman H. Wildfong

    There passed away at the family residence, 18 Victoria St., Waterloo, on Tuesday, August 8th, Elizabeth Deller, beloved wife of Norman H. Wildfong, in her 54th year, following an illness of several weeks. The late Mrs. Wildfong was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Deller of Hay Township, Huron County, and married Mr. Wildfong 34 years ago. The funeral will take place at the late residence on Friday at two o'clock with service at the Emanuel Evangelical Church at 2: 30 p.m. conducted by Rev. G. F. Barthel, pastor of Zion Church, Kitchener, in the absence of Rev. H. A. Kellerman. Interment will be made in the Waterloo Mennonite cemetery. The remains will rest at Letter's Funeral Home until Thursday morning.

    Joseph's death record indicates that he was born in North Carolina, this may be in error.

    Property was purchased by Joseph Wildfong in 1823. According to the 1851 census the previous house was and in the 1861 census the current (2009) stone had been built. Behind the home is a small stone smokehouse made also of fieldstone.
