    Passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Heritage House, St. Jacobs in her 99th year.

    Beloved wife of the late Jerome Reidel.

    Loving mother of Joanne (Don) Durnford, Margaret Ligas, John Reidel, Donald (Annelle) Reidel and Michael (Robin) Reidel.
    Dear grandmother of Annemarie (Dieter) Grothen, Cathi (Mark) Lafler, Jim (Elda) Strome, Linda Warren, Michael (Debbie) Ligas, Paul (Rachel) Ligas, Anthony Reidel, Laura (Dave) Goodwin, Megan (Bryan) Stokes, Ian (Jennifer) Reidel, Karen (Ryan) Matson, Carl (Cynthia) Geil, Chet Reidel and Scott (Michelle) Reidel.

    Cherished great-grandmother of 23 and great-great-grandmother of 4.

    Survived by her sisters Sophie Weber, Florence (Gerald) Popowich, Dolly Pacosz, Marjorie (Lloyd) Hummel, brothers and sisters-in-law Alta (Tommie) Zlak, Cletus and Joyce Reidel, Patricia Reidel, Ruth Reidel and Frank Modrowski.

    Predeceased by her great-grandson Adam Jordan, granddaughter Bonnie Geil, sister Helen Neziol, brothers Edward Zlak and Walter (Metch) Zlak, son-in-law Doug Strome and brothers-in-law Joseph Neziol, Albert Weber and Stan Pacosz.

    Jessie was a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital for 58 years and a recipient of the Commemorative Medal for the 125th anniversary of the Confederation of Canada, in recognition of significant contribution to compatriots, community and to Canada. She was past president and founding member of St. Joseph's CWL and past president of the Carmel Guild.

    Jessie's family will receive relatives and friends from 7-9pm on Monday, August 12, 2013 and from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers at 7pm on Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at St. Joseph's RC Church (148 Madison Ave. S., Kitchener) at 10am.
    Interment at Woodland Cemetery, followed by a reception in the church hall.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Mary's Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).

    A special thank you to the staff from Heritage House, St. Jacobs for the wonderful and caring way that they looked after our mother during the past two years.
