    Litwiller.- Noah, son of Peter and Elizabeth (Schwartzentruber) Litwiller, was born in Wilmot Twp., Ont., May 8, 1891; died at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., Sept. 27, 1969; aged 78 y. 4 m. 19 d. On Feb. 10, 1914, he was married to Lydia Boshart, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons (Oliver and Harold), one daugher (Ruth - Mrs. Mahlon Yantzi), 12 grandchildren, 2 brothers (Elmer and William), and one sister (Mrs. Henry Bechler). He was a member of the St. Agatha Church, where funeral services were held Sept. 30, with Gerald Schwartzentruber and Allen Schwartzentruber officiating.

    Noah Litwiller

    Noah Litwiller of RR 2, Petersburg died Saturday at St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 78.

    Born May 8, 1891 in Wilmot Township, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Litwiller and had lived in the Twin City area all his life. He farmed near St. Agatha for many years. In 1946 he joined the Interior Hardwood Co. Ltd. and retired in 1960. He was a member of St. Agatha Mennonite Church.

    Surviving are his wife, the former Lydia Boshart, whom he married in 1914 in Wilmot Township; two sons, Oliver and Harold both of Waterloo; one daughter, Mrs. Mahlon (Ruth) Yantzi, RR 2, Petersburg; two brothers, Elmer, RR 2, Petersburg, and William, Lowville, N.Y.; one sister, Mrs. Henry (Elmeda) Bechler, Elkton, Mich., and 12 grandchildren.

    Funeral service was held Tuesday at St. Agatha Mennonite Church, Rev. Gerald Schwartzentruber officiating.

    Burial took place in the adjoining church cemetery.

    Mrs. Noah

    Mrs. Noah Litwiller of RR 2, Petersburg, died Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 77. Born in Wilmot Township, she was the former Lydia Boshart, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Boshart. She lived in the Twin City area all her life, and was a member of the St. Agatha Mennonite Church. Her husband predeceased her on Sept. 27, 1969. Surviving are two sons, Harold and Oliver, both of Waterloo; one daughter, Mrs. Mahlon (Ruth) Yantzi of RR 2, Petersburg; two brothers, Noah of Batavia, N.Y., and Milton of St. Agatha; two sisters, Mrs. Moses (Edith) Schwartzentruber and Mrs. Joel (Irene) Jantzi, both of Baden; and 12 grandchildren. The body will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until Sunday noon when removal will be made to the St. Agatha Mennonite Church where Rev. Gerald Schwartzentruber will conduct a service at 3 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Donations to the Ontario Mennonite Mission Board will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.

    Litwiller. - Peter J. Litwiller was born in Wilmot Twp., Ont., April 7, 1869; died Sept. 3, 1930; aged 61 y. 4 m. 27 d. In his youth he accepted Christ as his Savior and remained faithful to the end. On Dec. 3, 1889, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Schwartzendruber, who survives him, with 3 sons, 1 daughter, 4 grandchildren, his aged mother, and 1 sister. On Jan. 11, 1925, he was ordained to the office of deacon in the Wilmot A. M. church , in which office he served diligently, being greatly concerned about the welfare of the church to the end. He was in failing health for the last few years but was about as usual until Sunday evening Aug. 31 when he suddenly took very sick and suffered greatly until Monday evening when he was operated on for a ruptured stomach. He had a great desire to once more see all his children which God granted him, and he gave each of them a parting message. His own testimony was that all was well with his soul. He then peacefully fell asleep Wednesday night, Sept. 3. His father, 2 brothers, and 2 grandchildren preceded him in death. Funeral services were conducted by Bros. Peter Nafziger, Jonas Snider, Daniel Steinman at the St. Agatha A. M. Church. Burial in the adjoining cemetery.

    Peter J. Litwlller

    The death occurred at his home near Petersburg on Wednesday, September 4th, of Mr. Peter J. Litwiller at the age of 61 years, 4 months and 27 days. He had been in ill health for some time but was only confined to bed for a few day's prior to his demise. The deceased was born at St. Agatha, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Litwiller and spent his whole life in Wilmot Township. He was a devoted adherent of the Amish Mennonite faith and was esteemed and beloved by all who knew him. For the past twenty-five years he farmed near Petersburg and retired last spring from active work. He leaves in bereavement his widow who before her marriage was Elizabeth Schwartzentruber, besides three sons and one daughter namely, Noah, of St. Agatha, Elmer, Petersburg, William, Lowville, N. Y., (Elmeda) Mrs. Henry Baechler, Pigeon. Mich. The funeral will take place Saturday at 1 p.m. to the St. Agatha A.-M. Church and cemetery.

    Mrs. Elizabeth Litwiller

    On Saturday evening June 3, the death occurred at her late residence on the Kitchener-Baden highway of Mrs. Elizabeth Litwiller, who was 73 years of age. The deceased, who was born in Petersburg, was a daughter of the late Mr. Jacob and Mrs. Magdalene Swartzentruber. She had been in failing health for some time. Her husband, Peter J. Litwiller, predeceased her some years ago. Mrs. Litwiller was a faithful member of the Wilmot Amish Mennonite Church. One daughter and three sons survive, namely: Mrs. Henry Beckter of Elkton, Michigan, Noah of St. Agatha, Elmer of Petersburg and William of Lowville, New York. There are also left to mourn her one sister, Mrs. John Litwiller, and four brothers, John of Petersburg, Jacob of St. Agatha, Christian or Kitchener, and Dania of Elkton, Michigan. Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. from her late residence to the St. Agatha Amish Mennonite Church, with interment in the adjoining cemetery. Amos Swartzentruber of Argentine, South America, officiated at the burial services.
