Some twenty years ago he sold out and moved to Kent County, Michigan, where he died in 1887. She died in 1892. The names of their children are...They are all residing in the state of Michigan."

    John Keller, "the eldest in Christian Keller's family, was born in 1783. He was married to Magdalena Schuh who was born in 1782 and died on February 2nd, 1831. She was a daughter of John Schuh of York County, Pennsylvania, and sister to Henry Schuh, minister of the Mennonite body. They moved to Canada in 1826 and resided with Benjamin Eby, Berlin, during the summer months, then, in fall, moved on their farm, being part of lot No. 121, German Company's Tract, now possessed by Cyrus Cressman. Here they both spent their remaining days. He had the sad misfortune of being deprived of his eyesight for nineteen years. He died in April, 1838. They had a family of nine children, six of whom died in infancy. The remaining three were married"

In spring, 1826, they, with others, moved to Canada and settled several miles west of the town of Waterloo, Ontario, on the farm now possessed by John Kunkle. Here they resided until their deaths. She died April 9th, 1838, and he died August 3rd, 1844. To them was born a family of six children"

    A-1-18 Jacob Miller Sr.: The Last Will and Testament of Jacob Miller Senior, of the Township of Waterloo, Gentleman.

    …I Jacob Miller, senior, of the Township of Waterloo, Gentleman, do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament…I will and desire that all my just debts, testamentary and funeral expenses be paid as soon as conveniently can be after my decease, and as to my worldly estate, I will unto my daughter, Magdalena Miller, now Magdalena Pistor, the four acres of land where upon she now resides, being part of Lots numbers seven and twelve of the German Company tract in said Township, for her and her husband to have and to hold during their natural lives, and after their decease to be divided equally among her heirs, for the consideration sum of five shillings of lawful money.. As to my worldly estate the remainder thereof shall be divided equally among all my sons and daughters, share and share alike and as soon as conveniently after my decease, my hereinafter named Executors shall hold an appraisment, and have the whole of my property appraised, such that I have not willed to my daughter Magdalene, and sell the same by Public

    Isaac Latschaw "We have no means of ascertaining the true ancestry of this family. Some maintain that the old pioneer settler was a native of France and was a descendant of some Hugenot family, while others think he was a native of Holland. We shall begin this family with I Isaac Latschaw who was born January 9th, 1774, in Colebrook, Dale Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. His boyhood days were quietly spent on the farm of his father. After arriving at maturity he was married to Susannah Kindig who was born July 19th, 1782. During the early part of the present century (1822) they moved to Canada and settled in Waterloo County where they resided at different places. They owned a beautiful farm at Mannheim, Ontario, where they resided many years. The evening of their life was spent with their son-in-law, Mr. Hostetler, where they died. His death took place February 14th, 1857, and she died September 17th, 1859. To them were born ten children"

    A-1-126 Isaac Latchar Sr. Probate of the will of Isaac Latschar Sr., of the Township of Wilmot, Gentleman, deceased, on the petition of Isaac Latschar Junior (Jacob Hagey the other executor having duly renounced)…

    I, Issac Latshar being in a declining state of health…First, I will that my funeral expenses and all other debts shall be paid out of my estate as soon as may be after my decease…I will that my personal and real estate of whatever property or nature the same may consist at the time of my decease shall all be sold by public or private sale as soon after my decease as my herinafter named executor may then judge suitable. I will that my beloved wife Susana Latschaur[sic] have the one third of all the neat money arising out of my whole real and personal estate. I also give and bequeath unto my said wife two bedsteads and bedding of her choosing also my clock with the case, my stove, my bureau and my kitchen cupboard with its usual contents. And, I will that my said wife shall possess and enjoy all of the property above willed to her during her natural life and I will that the same shall be in lieu of her lawful dower. I give unto my son Jacob Latshar twenty five pounds cr. I will to my son Isaac Latshar twenty five pound cr. To my son Moses Latshar twenty five pounds cr. To be paid to them out of the first payment arising of my estate and of my three sons above mentioned each to have twenty five pounds Cr of the last payment arising of my estate. I will that my wife shall have twenty five pound of the first payment arising of my estate and the remainder of her dower yearly, as the payments come due of my estate. And applicable to the payment of my children not to interfere with any of the herein above ordinance by me maid[sic]. I will that all the residue of my whole estate shall be equally divided share and share like to all my sons and daughters, when the money comes due of my estate. And I do hereby empower my herein after named executors to make sign seal and deliver to any purchase or purchasers of any part of the whole of my real estate all such deeds of conveyance or other instruments as the law may require here in Canada and likewise in the United States and I do hereby declare and acknowledge the same as good and lawful as if I had signed sealed and delivered the same myself personally. And lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint my son Issac Latshar and Jacob Haygy[sic] to be the true and lawful executors of this my last will and testament….
