Of 96 Elmwood Ave., Galt, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 1972, in her 73rd year, Sophia Gulbis, beloved wife of the late Herman Varens and dear mother of Valija (Mrs. Andrejs Simsons) of Galt and Gene of Washington; also survived by five grandchildren. Resting at the Coutts and Son Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrew St., Galt, from Thursday evening, from 7 p.m. Funeral service on Saturday, Jan. 15, at 11 a.m. Interment, Mount View cemetery, Galt.
