  MRS. ADAM BELL'S DEATH The Old settlers of Galt are fast passing away and this week we are called upon to write up the death of another of Galt's oldest citizens, Mrs. Adam Bell, Metcalfe St., which took place on Tuesday morning, at 7: 20. The deceased, Elizabeth Common, had been a resident of Galt, for about forty years. She waS born in Roxborough, Scotland, in 1829 and came to Canada, about 1853, along with her husband. She has always been well and enjoyed good health until about Christmas last, when she was taken down with her first illness, paralysis and has been steadily sinking ever since. She leaves a husband and five children; Mrs. Marshall, of Dunville; Mrs. J. R. Mitchell, Mrs. Wm. Thomson and Miss Jessie, of Gait, and William, of Cleveland. One sister and two brothers, also survive her. Mrs. Wm. Turnbull and Andrew of North Dumfries and William, of Manitoba. The funeral took place on Thursday, from the family residence, Medcalf St., to Mount View cemetery and was largely attended by the deceased old friends and relatives.
