  THE LATE MRS. STODDARD It is our sad duty this week to chronicle the death of Margaret McBean, relict of the late Henry Stoddard, which took place on Saturday morning last, at half-past six. Deceased was born at the McBean homestead, Beverly, in the year 1830 and was married in 1847 and has been a resident of Galt ever since. For the past year, Mrs. Stoddard has not been keeping well and a short time ago she caught a cold, which resulted in pleurisy and eventually caused her death, at the age of 63 years. She leaves two daughters, Miss Carrie Stoddard and Mrs. I. E. Eby, both of Galt, to mourn the loss of a kind and loving mother. Mrs. Stoddard was a sister of Messrs. Alex. and Angus McBean of Dumfries, Francis of Beverley and Mrs. Alex. Carrick of North Dumfries. She was a consistant member and a regular attendant of the Methodist church and it is with deep regret that her many friends will learn of her death, the funeral took place from her late residence, 74 Hawthorne street, on Wednesday afternoon, at 3 o'clock, to Mount View cemetery and was largely attended.
