Notes |
- Mr. P. F. Stumpf attended the funeral of his brother, Michael, at Mildmay last week. The deceased followed the trade of carpenter but was also a mason in his younger days. While the masons were engaged in plastering the new R.C. church he was induced to help. He was engaged below the scaffold when the structure gave way and fell upon him crushing his skull. On the scaffold were six other men who escaped with a few slight bruises. Deceased regained consciousness but died a few days later. He leaves a widow and 12 children - 9 sons and 3 daughters, the majority of whom are still minors. He was very popular in his village, where he will be realty missed.
