      Emma Maria Ploethner died 31 May 1865 daughter of August, in Preston, 7 yrs, 7 mths, 22 days., was healthy in the morning, went to school, came home at noon, complained she didn't feel well and was put to bed. Shortly thereafter, she got very serious cramps and died at 3 p.m. that afternoon. Three teachers & various school friends, decorated her coffin with flowers and accompanied coffin to cemetery.
