  Dudley R. Staines, a Canadian golfer and winter resident of Aiken, scored a hole-in-one at Midland Valley Country Club Wednesday. Staines shot the ace on the 188-yard 17th hole using a one iron while playing with Murray Bailey, also of Canada. Aiken Standard from Aiken, South Carolina · Page 7 January 2, 1970 _________________________ Moving to Aiken from Waterloo. Ontario, Canada about two years ago were Mr. and Mrs. Dudley R. Staines. Mr. Staines who had his own printing firm, D. R. Staines Printing Co., is now retired. He is an avid golfer and enjoys the winters in Aiken. They also have a home on Lake Huron and spend some time there each year. Both Mr. and Mrs. Staines (Hazel Isobel) were from Toronto originally but have lived all of their married life in the "Hartford of Canada". Waterloo-Kitchener area. These are twin cities, if you are not familiar with that area, and are about seventy miles west of Toronto. The Staines have two sons and six grandchildren, all living in Canada.
