This Instrument witnesseth that I Joseph Ley of the village of Breslau, being of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding to make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament. My will is first that all my funeral charges and just debts shall be paid by my executors herein named. The residue of my estate and property which shall not be required for the payment of my just debts, funeral charges and the expense attending the execution of this my will and the administration of my estate I give, devise and dispose thereof as follows to wit ; I give and devise to my beloved wife Josephine Ley all my household furniture, personal property, goods and chattels of every nature or kind. I further bequeath to my beloved wife Josephine during her natural life, the sum and benefit of all my real estate comprising house and lands situated in the village of Breslau comprising Lot 10 and 11 according to survey made by James Pollock P.L.S for Joseph Erb of Preston after her death I direct that my executors do sell all the above mentioned, my real estate and that they divide the nett[sic] proceeds derived therefrom between my children her surviving share and share alike. In case it is deemed adviseable, I hereby empower my executors with my beloved wife Josephine's written concent[sic] to sell or dispose of the above mentioned my real estate before the death of my beloved wife. But should it be deemed adviseable to sell my real estate as before mentionted the nett proceeds thereof, I direct my executors hereinafter named to invest in other real estate but not otherwise, which estate so bought my beloved wife Josephine is to enjoy at pleasure and receive all the benefit arising therefrom during her natural life, after her death I direct that such real estate be sold and that the nett proceeds derived therefrom be divided among my children her surviving share and share alike. I hereby appoint Phililp Zeller and John Snyder both of the Township of Waterloo, my Executors…
