    • Snider.- Gilbert, son of Jonas and Susannah (Horst) Snider, was born in Waterloo Twp., July 30, 1903; died at Kitchener, Ont., Oct. 25, 1981; aged 78 y. On June 18, 1930, he was married to Louida Martin, who survives. Also surviving are 4 daughters (Merlyn-Mrs. Stuart Martin, Carol-Mrs. Melvin Bauman, Thelma-Mrs. Lionel Hamilton, and Yvonne-Mrs. Dan Nighswander), 10 grandchildren, and one sister (Hannah Snider). He was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 3 sisters. He was a member of Erb Street Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Oct. 28, in charge of Wilmer Martin and Dan Nighswander; interment in Erb Street Mennonite Cemetery.

      SNIDER, Gilbert
      \emdash Passed away peacefully at the K-W Hospital, Kitchener, on Sunday, Oct. 25, 1981. Gilbert Snider, aged 78 years, of 484 Parkwood Crt., Waterloo.
      Mr. Snider was born in Waterloo township and was a son of the late Bishop Jonas Snider and the former Susannah Horst. He was a member of Erb Street Mennonite church, Waterloo and an honorary member of the K-W Retired Business and Professional Men's Club. He farmed most of his life in the Waterloo area and when he retired lived on a portion of his farm which is now Parkwood Court, Waterloo.
      Survived by his beloved wife, the former Louida Martin to whom he was married 51 years in June of 1981. Dear father of four daughters and their husbands, Merlyn and Stuart Martin of Conestogo, Carol and Mel Bauman and Thelma and Lionel Hamilton, all of Waterloo and Yvonne and Dan Nighswander of Hickson. Also survived by one sister, Miss Hannah Snider of Cambridge and 10 grandchildren. He was predeceased by seven brothers and three sisters.
      Mr. Snider's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St S., Waterloo, from 7-9 p.m. this even and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday. At noon on Wednesday, removal will be made to the Erb Street Mennonite Church, for the funeral service at 3 p.m. (Wednesday), with Rev. Wilmer Martin officiating. Interment to follow in Erb Street Mennonite cemetery.
      In Mr. Snider's memory, donations to the Mennonite Central Committee or a charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
