  • Notes 
    • Daniel and Matilda with four of their children moved from Ontario to High Prairie in April of 1916. Gordon had come out previously and was in the 138th Battalion in the First World War.

      Daniel and Matilda settled on the farm about five miles from High Praire, north and east, and were active in church and community affairs. Matilda often acted as midwife to her neighbors when there was no nurse available. Both Daniel and Matilda are buried in the Anglican Cemetery at High Prairie.
