- A sawyer named Robert Distin, working at the Steam saw-mill of Messrs. Wylie & Dolman of Ayr, committed suicide, the 12 inst. He had only worked at the mill for 2 days, and was noticed as being quite dejected, the result of recent illness. The morning on which he destroyed himself, his was was delivered of twins, shortly after which, he went to a neighbour's house, and cut his throat. He lately worked at Simpson's Saw Mills, near Paris. Paris Star Newspaper.
