  DALY, John Kenneth (Ken) - Passed away, at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on Friday, January 16, 2009, in his 80th year, after a courageous battle with leukemia. Beloved husband of 53 years to Joyce. Loving father of Cherie Daly (Aubrey Basdeo) of Toronto and Scott Daly of Oshawa. He will be fondly remembered by his three grandsons Kyle, Dylan and Justin Basdeo. Dear brother of Ross (Mary) Daly of Watford, Elaine (George) Kramer and Jean (Thomas) Schmalz of Kitchener; brother-in-law of Maxine (Paul) Kastner of Wiarton and Shirley Witt of Waterloo. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by his parents Leo and Florence (nee Roth) Daly. He was an honourary life member of Kitchener Knights of Columbus, council 1504 (3rd degree) for 57 years, Honourary Kinsmen, Past President of Oshawa Kinsmen K-40 Club and volunteer of St. Vincent's Kitchen. Visitation will be held at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church, 690 King St. East, Oshawa on Thursday, January 22, 2009 from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 12: 00 noon. Cremation. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Oshawa Funeral Home , 847 King St. West, 905-721-1234.
