  George Holdaway - The death occurred in Hamilton on Tuesday of George Holdaway, in his 71st year. Deceased was born in England, coming to Canada when quite young. He lived in this village for many years, where he was employed as a butcher and milk dealer. He removed to Hamilton some 20 years ago. Besides his widow, he is survived by one son, Gordon, of Hamilton, and the following four sisters: Mrs. Jane Whitehorn, Hamilton; Mrs. Rose Chesney, Hamilton; Mrs. Robert Elliott, Ayr, and Mrs. Carrie Walton, Ayr. Mrs. Edward Holdaway, Ayr, is a sister-in-law. The funeral will take place to Ayr Cemetery on Thursday afternoon. The Ayr News Aug 17 1933 pg 10
