Beloved husband of Laura Eidt, also surviving, one son Ronald Lloyd and grandson David Ronald and five sisters. The funeral service was, held October 15, at Collin's Funeral Home, Montreal; interment Woodlands Cemetery, Hamilton. Pallbearers: Carl and Jack Eidt and four Aitken nephews.

AITKEN, William Lloyd (Major) - At Ste. Anne's Military Hospital, Ste. Anne de Bellevue, Quebec on Saturday, October 12, 1974 in his 77th year, William Lloyd Aitken beloved husband of Laura Eidt, father of Captain Ronald Aitken, Canadian Armed Forces, Valcartier, Quebec. Brother of Mrs. T. A. Rice (Bertha) of Hamilton, Mrs, D. E. Bothwell (Winifred) of Chatham, Mrs. Wil- liam H. Butler (Helen) of Preston, Mrs. C. V. Andrewes (Verna) of Beamsville and Mrs. George J. McQueen (Norma) of Dundas, one grandson and several nieces and nephews also survive. Veteran of World War One and Two. Former employee of the Canadian Westinghouse Company. Funeral service in Montreal. Committal service in Woodland Cemetery, Hamilton on arrival from Montreal on Tuesday, October 15, 1974. Funeral arrangements by J. B. Marlatt Funeral Home, Hamilton.

AITKEN
Funeral services were held Oct. 12, for William Lloyd Aitken, 3900 Benny Ave., Montreal, who died at Ste. Anne's Military hospital, Ste. Anne de Bellevue. Padre Ploughman officiated with interment in Woodlands Cemetery, Hamilton. Pallbearers were Carl and Jack Eidt and four Aitken nephews. Mr. Aitken spent most of his life in Hamilton and was employed with Westinghouse Canada. During World War One he was
overseas with the first Machine Gun Corps formed in Europe. Following the war he joined the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada in Hamilton. During World War Two he was attached to headquarters in London as brigade major and one phase of his duty was overseeing cadet training in Western Ontario. He was a member of Sir Arthur Currie Branch, R.C.C., Montreal. From July, 1944 to December, 1945 he served in Europe with military government and on his return Westinghouse transferred him to Montreal as district accountant for Eastern Canada.
Surviving is his wife the former Laura Eidt; one son, Capt. Ronald Lloyd, a grandson, David Ronald; and five sisters and several nieces and nephews.
