- The original portion of the house was constructed in 1817 by Abraham Erb the founder of Waterloo. Home was sold to Jacob C. Snider who later sold to Magdalena Erb who sold to Barnabus Devitt her adopted son in 1835. An addition were probably added to Barnabus. Later owners were Elias Snider, Christian Kumpf.
