SCHWARTZ, David\emdash Suddenly, on Monday, Feb.22, 1993, at Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital, David Schwartz, of 135 Queen St. W., Wellesley.
David was born in Mornington township 87 years ago, a son of the late David Schwartz and the late Catherine Jantzi. He had farmed on the Seventh Line of Wellesley township and was also employed at the K-W Hospital for 10 years, retiring in 1975. Faithful member of Crosshill Mennonite Church, where he served as superintendent and Sunday school teacher for many years. He was also a volunteer in the visitation program at Nithview Home, New Hamburg.
Beloved husband of 62 years of the former Esther (Gerber) Schwartz of Wellesley; loving father of Irene Berge of Wellesley, Laura Ann and her husband Lester Wagler of Wellesley, Florence and her husband Wilmer (Bill) Roth of RR 1, Tavistock, David and his wife Carol Schwartz of RR 2, Petersburg and Wayne and his wife Mary Jane Schwartz of Wellesley; brother-in-law of Samuel Jantzi of RR 1, Millbank and Grace Schwartz of Waterloo. He is lovingly remembered by 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by three brothers, John, Simon, and Noah and by four sisters, Lydia, Catherine, Mary and Christina.
Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 40 Henry St., Wellesley, where the family will receive friends this evening (Tuesday) from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Thursday, Feb. 25, removal will be made to the Maple View Mennonite Church for the funeral service at 2 p.m. Pastor Ray Erb and Rev. Steve Gerber will officiate. Interment will follow in the Maple View Cemetery.
Memorials to Aldaview Group Home or to the Crosshill Mennonite Church Building Fund would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy for the late David Schwartz.
