  MRS. CATHERINE REEKIE After a long and painful illness, Mrs. Catharine Reekie, wife of Mr. W. Reekie, inspector M. C. B. R., died at 6 o'clock Monday morning, at her home, 70 Railway Street, in her 61st year. She was a native of Jedhorough, Roxboroughshire and emigrated with her hushand to Canada, in 1856 and lived for some time in Galt, Hamilton and London. She has been a resident of this city for the last seventeen years. She leaves her husband, one son, R. P. Reekie, druggist and two daughters; Miss Emma at home and Mrs. T. Hall, wife of T. Hall, foreman building department, M. C. “Thomas Journal”. The interment took place on Wednesday, on the arrival of the 9: 53 C.P.R. train to Mount View Cemetery, and a large number of the deceased's old friends and relatives, paid a last tribute of respect to one whom they had loved.
