  DIED IN STRATFORD - The Dundas Standard says - "On Tuesday of last week Reuben Babcock, an old and respected resident of Beverly Township, died in Stratford, aged 77 years. The deceased was born near the village of Sheffield, and the whole of his life until a few weeks ago was spent in the locality. Some four years since he sold his farm and retired from active work, taking up his residence in Sheffield. In March he removed to Stratford, where he died as above stated after an illness of about a week. His remains were brought to Shetfield for interment. He leaves a family of four sons and one daughter besides numerous grandchildren and other relatives." Galt Reporter May 13 1881 pg 1
