• Notes

  RUPPEL, Gertrude Caroline - Peacefully, at home, on March 7, 2001. Gertrude will now join her much loved husband, Carl and precious daughter, Lois and will be greatly missed by her surviving children, Paul and his wife Jena and David and his wife Suzanne and her cherished grandchildren, Mark, Michelle, Katherine, Jessica and Justin and great-grandchildren, Scott, Ryan, Kyle and Melissa. Mother will be fondly remembered for her endless acts of kindness and sense of humour. A special thanks to the many caregivers who helped Mother, especially her dear friend, Marlene Kretchmann, Dr. Colette Hegarty, Irya Virtanen, Margo Szabo, Marianne Zoer and Judy Bush. Interment will be in Elmira. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 24 at 12 noon at St. Phillip's Lutheran Church, 61 West Deane Park Dr. (Etobicoke). Visitation will begin at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Scott Mission, the Lutheran Bible Translators, or the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
