  • Notes
    • Roland's Saddle & Harness Shop (later Endress' Furniture Factory)

Peter Endress from Preston purchased the Jos. Henry Dietz furniture factory pre 1878 and moved it back to opposite Merner's foundry in an old shop. Once Merner built the new Independent Block in 1878, Endress set up his furniture and cabinet-making showroom business there. He also had an undertaking parlour there until he sold it to Alex J. Anderson of Galt in 1889. Endress later moved to Petrolia where he died on March 1, 1907 at age 80.
