  Wilfred B. Underwood - Wilfred B. Underwood, 57, of Bridgeport, died Thursday at his home after a long illness. Born in Bridgeport, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Underwood. He worked at Greb Shoes Limited for more than 30 years and then at Western Shoe Company for seven years. Illness forced his retirement in 1960. He was a member of Emmanuel Evangelical United Brethren Church, Bridgeport. Surviving are his wife, the former Miriam Maurer, whom he married in Elmira in 1928; one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Carol) Brett of Michawaka, Ind.; one brother, Herman of Bridgeport; one sister, Mrs. Leah Cooper of Flint, Mich.; and two grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Nellie Klem, died in 1955. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until 9: 30 a.m. Saturday, when removal will be made to Emmanuel EUB Church for service at II a.m. Burial will be in Bridgeport Memorial Cemetery. Rev. E.
