- SNYDER, Howard -- At K-W Hospital, on Saturday, Nov 20, 1982, aged 71 years, of 31 Doonbrook Place, Kitchener. Son of the late Moses and Mary (Wismer) Snyder; husband of Charlea (Kolb) Snyder; father of Pat (Mrs. Robert Janowski) of Water- loo, Linda Snyder of Waterloo, Bob of Waterloo, Bill and his wife Kathy of Conestogo, Joh, and his wife Kathy of Toronto and and Mar- ybeth Snyder of Kitchener; grandfather of Jillian and Jennifer Janowski adn Nathaniel, Kirsten and Nicholas Snyder. Also survived by two sisters, Gladys (Mrs. Aaron Grove) of Markham and Norma (Mrs. Gordon Shantz) of Cam- bridge. Mr. Snyder was a member of First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, where he served for many years as Sunday school teacher, chairman of the stewardship board and church council. He was one of the founders of the Mennonite Credit Union. A retired employee of Bell Canada and former general manager-treasurer of the Ontario Telephone Employees Credit Union. From 1942 to 1945, he served in England with Corps of Canadian Fire Fighters. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, until noon Tuesday, when removal will be made to First Mennonite Church for funeral service at 3 p.m., with Rev. Glenn Brubacher and Brice Balmer officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Donations to the Mennonite Central Committee as expressions of sympathy, would be appreciated. "What is it to cease breathing, but to free the breath from it's restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?" Gibran.

Snyder - Howard, son of Moses and Mary (Wismer) Snyder, died at K-W Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., Nov. 20, 1982; aged 71 y. He was married to Charlea Kolb, who survives. Also surviving are 3 daughters (Pat-Mrs. Robert Janowski, Linda Snyder, and Marybeth Snyder), 3 sons (Bob, Bill, and John), 5 grandchildren, and 2 sisters (Gladys-Mrs. Aaron Grove and Norma-Mrs. Gordon Shantz). He was a member of First Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Nov. 23, in charge of Glenn Brubacher and Brice Balmer; interment in First Mennonite Cemetery.
