- MONTGOMERIE, Thomas - Passed away, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at Forest Heights Long Term Care Centre, Kitchener. Tom was born in Dunoon, Scotland, August 19, 1920 and served in the Army Medical Corps during the Second World War. He came to Canada with his family when he was four years old. He resided in Agincourt with his wife, Margo until they retired to The Morningside Village in 1991 on their fortieth wedding anniversary. Beloved husband of Margo (Robertson) Montgomerie and dear father of Paul Montgomerie of Etobicoke, Bruce Montgomerie of Brampton and Cathy Okopny of Markham. Sadly missed also by their spouses, respectively, Sonia, Sandi and Edward. Lovingly remembered by his four grandchildren and his sisters, Catherine Jolly of Weston and Betty Johns of Ajax. Tom was predeceased by a brother Jack Montgomerie. Cremation has taken place. A family interment will occur at Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg. Family and friends at invited on Friday, September 29, 2006 from 2-4 p. m. to the Morningside Village Centre, New Hamburg for refreshments and fellowship in celebration of Thomas's life. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson's Society Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family and may be made through the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, New Hamburg 519-662-1661.
