Notes |
- Death of Rev. Hamilton Gibson
Many old friends in Galt and neighborhood will regret to learn of the death of this gentleman, stationed in Galt many years ago as Pastor of old St. Andrew's Church. After leaving Galt, which he did somewhere about 1856 or 1857, Mr. Gibson was stationed at Bayfield; and upon his resigning that charge he went to live at Lachine, near Montreal. Some four years ago he removed to Toronto, where he resided up to the time of his death. The Rev. gentleman was about 80 years of age and was one of the oldest Ministers in the Dominion.
