  SCHMIDT, Allan Cranson - At St. Mary's Hospital, on Friday, March 3, 1989, Allan Schmidt, of Lanark Place and formerly of Islington Ave., Kitchener, age 89 years. Mr. Schmidt was employed at BF Goodrich Canada Inc., Kitchener for 21 years. He then owned and operated a garage and service station for 18 years, before his retirement. He was a longtime member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Beloved husband for 68 years of Adeline (nee Brandt) of Kitchenr and father of Delton Schmidt and his wife Marie of Kitchener and Lorein Nurse of London, Ont. Also sadly missed by his grandchildren, Patricia and her husband Tyler Holmes of Kitchener and Lynda and her husband Donald Rowdon of London, Ont. and his great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Jordan Holmes, Julie and Laura Rowdon. Allan was the last surviving member of his family and was predeceased by his parents, Adam Schmidt and the former Emma Knarr; one brother, Lorne Schmidt; two sisters, Alice Bechthold and Alberta Schmidt and two grandsons in infancy. Friends may call at the Ratz Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, today (Monday), from 7-9 p.m. Funeral and committal ser vices will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 1 p.m., with Rev. Lloyd Wentzlaff officiating. Interment Mount Hope cemetery, Kitchener. Reception to follow in the Ratz Bechtel Family Centre.
