      Of 178 Queen St. E., Wellesley, passed away Sunday, August 18, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. She was the former Elizabeth Bast; born in Wellesley Township, 63 years ago, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Bast; beloved wife of John E. Gerber of Wellesley; dear mother of Harold of Wellesley, Mildred (Mrs. Kenneth Lichti) of Tavistock, Elsie (Mrs. Harold Lichti) of Route 1, New Hamburg; dear sister of Samuel of Wellesley, Elvy of Millbank, Mary (Mrs. Michael Erb) and Emma (Mrs. Samuel Lebold), both of Milverton, Laura (Mrs. Daniel Wilker) of Carthage, Clara (Mrs. Emanuel Zehr) of Poole, Vera (Mrs. Elmer Erb) of Wellesley.

      She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; predeceased by one son Lloyd and one brother.

      Friends may call at the Futher Brothers Funeral Home, Wellesley, until noon Tuesday, when removal will be made to the Mapleview Mennonite Church for the service at 2: 30 p.m. Rev. Alvin Leis and Rev. Jacob Roes officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

      Expressions of sympathy may be shown by contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society.

      Gerber, Elizabeth, daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth (Schultz) Bast, was born in Wellesley Twp., Ont., Aug. 17, 1911; died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., Aug. 18, 1974; aged 63 y. On Oct. 28, 1931, she was married to John E. Gerber, who survives. Also surviving are one son (Harold), 2 daughters (Mildred - Mrs. Kenneth Lichty and Elsie - Mrs. Harold Lichty), 14 grandchildren, 2 brothers (Samuel and Elvy), and 5 sisters (Mary - Mrs. Michael Erb, Emma - Mrs. Samuel Lebold, Laura - Mrs. Daniel Wilker, Clara - Mrs. Emanuel Zehr, and Vera - Mrs. Elmer Erb). She was preceded in death by one son (Lloyd) and one brother (George). She was a member of the Maple View Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Aug. 20, in charge of Alvin Leis and Jacob Roes; interment in the adjoining cemetery
