  Bishop Samuel Roth, 79, of Lisbon died Friday, February 1 at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. Born in Mornington Township, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Roth. Surviving besides his wife, the former Catherine Brenneman, are two sons, Nelson of RR 2 Wellesley and Kenneth of RR 1 Wellesley; three daughters, Mrs. Lorne (Mildred) Rupert of RR 1 Gadshill, Esther of RR 1 Wellesley, Mrs. Eli (Edna) Miller of Stuart Draft, VA; two sisters Mrs. Manas (Bena) Miller of Middlebury, Ind., Mrs. Moses (Adeline) Jantzi of Wellesley; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was ordained minister in 1945 of The Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church; in 1953 he was ordained bishop. Funeral services were conducted Monday from Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church.
