August and Herman Prestien were partners in Prestien Bros. till after August died; Then Charles J. Bartels went in with Herman and they operated an important business as Prestien and Bartels; James Eagle was boss of a considerable gang which included two brothers, William and Elijah, and others and Oliver Gingrich had also a gang of his own. Both Herman W. Prestien and Oliver Gingrich were fine carpenters. Did nice work.
