  Verna Marie Leis, age 100 entered into the presence of the Lord on September 21, 2022 and has joined her husband Lorne (1983). She is the daughter of the late Chris and Mattie Erb. Greatly missed by daughters Sharon Leis and Carol Yantzi (Earl); granddaughter Kowanda Furlong (Mike), grandsons Jeff and Dennis Yantzi; great grandchildren Megan and Matthew Furlong. Sister of Clara Meyers (Earl), Eleanor Mast (Freeman), Erma Shantz (Ross), Grace Beuhler (Willy), Doris VanTright (John), Also survived by brother-in-law Jim Ewing, sister-in-law Reta Erb. She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by sisters Helen Ewing, Betty Erb, Wilma Good (Floyd) and brothers Earl Erb (Edith), Lloyd Erb, Ray Erb (Eleanor). Verna enjoyed going to worship at the house of God, the sanctuary, the body of Christ of which Jesus is the head to worship the Holy God with other believers and where Pastors encouraged her to better know and follow the God we worship to experience a walk of faith and love which she truly experienced. Family and friends are invited to the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Saturday, September 24, from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. officiated by Pastor Jim Brown. Burial will follow at Berean Christian Fellowship Cemetery, Millbank (formerly Riverdale Mennonite Church Cemetery). As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to ShareWord Global through W.
