Notes - WINKLER, Leila Jessie - Passed away peacefully, after living a wonderfully full life in the manner of her choice. Leila was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Robert Astor, in 1980; her grandson, Paul Michael in 1997; and her daughter, Sylvia Ann in 2002. Her family who she will always love, includes her daughter, Diane Wolfe and her husband Gerry of Bolton; her son, William Winkler and his wife Dawn of Kitchener; grandchildren, Ronald Porteous and his wife Marion of Ottawa, Brenda Torrance and her husband Scott of Toronto, Janine Wolfe and her husband Dean of Toronto, Jeff Porteous and his wife Angela of Port Perry, Daniel Wolfe and his wife Tonya of Edmonton, Jessie White and her husband Chris of Kitchener and Aaron Winkler of Kitchener; great grand children include Julianne, Victoria, Nathan, Mae, Quintin, Benjamin, Max and Ella. Special thanks go out to Dr. Kelly and the caring nurses and staff of Grand River Hospital's 5th floor. At her request, there will be no funeral or visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Leila's favourite charity, the Trans Canada Trail and can be arranged by contacting the Westmount Funeral Chapel at (519) 743-8900.
