- James W. S Wood, 83 of Baden died August 23 in St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener following a lengthy illness. A native of England, Mr. Wood had lived in the Baden area for the past 53 years. He was a retired Canadian National Railways employee, and a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Wood. He was a member of Steinman Mennonite Church.
Predeceased by his wife, the former Emily Finch, he is survived by one son, James, of Sarnia, six daughters, Mrs. Dora Archer and Mrs. Valentine Lotz, Sarnia; Mrs. Adelaide Read, Mrs. Gertrude Burt and Mrs. Alice Taylor, all of London; and Mrs. Jerome (Lillian) Lunz of Kitchener; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren
The body rested at the Bruce J. Omand funeral home, New Hamburg, until noon, Friday, when removal was made to the Steinman Mennonite Church for service. Rev. Elmer Schwartzentruber officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
