  • Notes
    • MISS ANNIE LILLICO - Another Member of Pioneer Family Called to Her Reward - Another esteemed member of one of the pioneer families of this community passed to her reward on Tuesday in the person of Annie McPherson Lillico, aged 75 years, following a short Illness which commenced on Wednesday night of last week. Miss Lillico was born on the 11th concession of Blenheim township, on the farm now owned by Douglas R. Lillico, being a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lillico. She resided in that neighborhood until 1917, when she removed to her late residence on Hall street, Ayr. She was a valued member of Knox United Church and for over half a century was a teacher in the Sabbath School. It is safe to say that hundreds of persons in the community, now grown to manhood and womanhood, learned their early catechism under the kindly and faithful guidance of this diligent teacher. For many years she was a member of the King's Daughters' Mission Auxiliary, being president for a lengthy term. Her attention and time was also much given to other similar church organizations, along with the Upper Canada Bible Society. Deceased is survived by one sister, and two brothers, viz.: Elizabeth Lillico, Murdo and Douglas R. Lillico, all of Blenheim township. The funeral takes place from Knox United Church this (Thursday) afternoon at 2.30 o'clock to the Ayr Cemetery.
