    • Miss Jean M. McRae of Ayr passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Thursday evening, April 1, 1982. She was in her 80th year. A lifelong resident of the Ayr district, Miss McRae devoted her life to the needs of her family, her church and those around her. She was keenly interested in current events, both local and world-wide and was active in all aspects of women's work in the Knox Church as well as the Sunday School and the choir. Daughter of the late Murdo McRae and Agnes Guthrie, Miss McRae is survived by one sister Mrs. Douglas (Florence) Perry, RR 2, Paris and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grand-nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Mrs. Mary Edgar in February of this year. Funeral service was held at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, Paris, on Monday, April 5th with Rev. George Saunders officiating. Interment was made in Ayr cemetery.
